A short drive from the village of Colmenar and about 40 minutes from the coast, this 200-year-old cottage, part of the grounds of an old farmhouse has wonderful views on Mount Tejada and the surrounding countryside. The grounds include a spacious tiled terrace with palm trees, cactus and other native plants and shrubs and a lovely mosaic-tiled pool. Adjacent to the house is an arbored eating area taking full advantage of the magnificent views.
Inside, the cottage, built on a single story, has been nicely renovated and features traditional wood-beamed ceilings, wood doors, terra cotta tile floors and white walls. Furnishings are casual and contemporary in style. Stairs from the parking area lead to the terrace and into the open-plan living-dining room with kitchen. In the sitting area, two loveseats are grouped around a small coffee table near the wood-burning stove. Adjacent is the dining area with rectangular wood table and chairs for 6 people. A counter separates the living area from the well-equipped kitchen with lovely blue and white tile walls and accents.
A corridor leads to 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The bedroom with double bed has an ensuite bathroom with shower. Two bedrooms with twins beds share another bathroom on the hall. The bedrooms all have overhead fans and are attractively decorated with colorful bedcovers, side tables, lamps and chests.

*Note: El Buho is next door to Casa Tejada (S606). Both properties are independent, each with its own private pool, terraces and garden. Only the parking is shared.
